Advanced Braces in Rhode Island
What Are Damon® Braces?
Damon® braces work the same fundamental way as traditional braces: they use a series of brackets mounted to the front of the teeth and a long, springy metal archwire running through the brackets to move teeth. The difference is that Damon® braces use special "self-ligating" brackets: they don't require elastic ties to hold the archwire in place.
This self-ligating system allows the archwire to move freely along the bracket during treatment, which makes for more efficient tooth movement. Thanks to the technological advancements that go into Damon® braces, they offer a faster, more comfortable treatment than traditional braces.
- Faster Treatment: Damon® braces have been clinically proven to move teeth faster than normal braces.
- Fewer Office Visits: Damon® braces require fewer check-up visits than traditional braces.
- Improved Comfort: Because brackets slide freely along the archwire, Damon® braces are a more comfortable form of orthodontic treatment.
- Treatment at Any Age: Anyone is eligible for Damon® braces- whether you're a teenager getting braces for the first time or a busy adult professional.
- Easier to Clean: The compact, sleek design of Damon® braces means they're easier to keep clean.
- Damon braces vs Invisalign: The unique forces used by Damon® braces for moving teeth results in a wider smile, and often allows the teeth to better fit into the arch without extraction.
