Orthodontic Care in Jamestown & Warwick, RI

At Tollgate Orthodontics, we provide quality orthodontic care to patients of all ages throughout Rhode Island. Although every orthodontic treatment is different, we understand the financial commitment that comes with these treatments can be significant. To help make things a little easier, we provide our patients with several payment options to so they can acquire the beautiful, healthy smile they deserve. See below for more information regarding our payment plans and insurance.

How Much Will Treatment Cost?

We know that most patients considering braces have questions regarding cost. The cost for your specific treatment depends mainly on the kind of treatment you need and how long it will take. Orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in your dental, medical and psychological well-being. Financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining this important health service.

It is our priority to make the payment process as easy as possible. We offer flexible and affordable monthly payment plans, many with no down payment or interest. In addition, we also offer third-party financing programs such as CareCredit and Springstone, which allow for payments to be made over long periods of time.

Payments and Policies

We offer several payment options to suit your family's needs. A bookkeeping courtesy is given for payment in full at the beginning of treatment. Interest-free payment plans are also available for your convenience. Orthodontic payments are due on the 1st of every month and each consecutive month until paid in full. A late fee of $10 will be applied to all accounts that are five days past due. Our monthly payment options include monthly credit/debit card drafts, online payments, or automatic checking account draft. The length of treatment varies, depending on the patient. Payment options do not correspond to the estimated treatment time. We simply provide them for your convenience.

Our fee includes the procedures performed in this office, one set of retainers and observations. Additional charges could be made for lost/broken appliances, in cases of non-cooperation, or lost/damaged retainers.

Insurance Policy and Guidelines

How does orthodontic insurance work?
In general, there are a wide range of agreements between insurance carriers and subscribers. Each contract offers a different benefit. Orthodontic insurance is different from regular dental insurance because the individual that is insured is allowed a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services. The benefit is paid as a percentage of the treatment charges (the initial fee, monthly payments, diagnostic records, etc.), until the maximum benefit is reached. Insurance does not cover charges for lost or broken appliances.

How do we assist you with your insurance?
We provide flexible payment options and accept payment from your insurance company. Our financial coordinator will be glad to submit your insurance claims.

Please remember our primary financial relationship is with our patients or their families, not with an insurance company. We can make financial arrangements, based on your insurance benefit. Any outstanding balances must be paid by the patient or the patient’s family.

If you do not have orthodontic coverage, we will work with you to come up with a financial plan to fit your budget. Arrangements can be made for your monthly payments to be charged to your debit/credit card or automatic checking account draft.
