At Tollgate Orthodontics, Dr. Eves and our orthodontic team love our office and our patients in Jamestown. This is a magical town. The Rocket Hogs 4th of July fireworks display at East Ferry where the band plays, neighbors mingle and the sky lights up in a display wholly funded by donations. That same venue is the setting for the Jamestown Summer Concert Series, a free and open-to-the-public series of concerts with amazing views of the harbor and the Newport Bridge. Bring your own snacks or buy some from the wonderful local establishments just steps away.
Have an active day flying kites at gorgeous Beavertail State Park and exploring the Aquarium located inside the lighthouse there. Try your hand at the Fishing Derby at the North Pond Reservoir or from the rocks at Taylor Point.
Spend more time on the water with the fun AND educational summer sailing camp run by the Conanicut Island Sailing Foundation or take a chance on your boat building skills in the Fool’s Rules Regatta in August. The regatta is fun for participants and onlookers alike as teams compete to assemble, launch and sail their own boats within a four hour time window. It is both amazing and hilarious.
