The Tollgate Orthodontics Story
A little more than ten years ago, I was living overseas in Italy as a practicing orthodontist for the US Navy. My wife Erin, who I met while attending Providence College’s graduate business school, is from this area and we knew we wanted to return and raise our family here. We found the perfect fit in Tollgate Orthodontics.
We’re Not What We Used to Be
Back in 2012, Tollgate Orthodontics had 4 employees and one location in Warwick. We now have a team of 8 practicing in the original Warwick location and in a second office in Jamestown. Some days it feels like just yesterday and other days we look back and see how far we’ve come.
The technology has changed too. Our practice hasn’t taken those goopy alginate impressions in years, because an intra-oral scanner allows staff to quickly scan patients’ mouths in order to make appliances, aligners and retainers. These days, 3D printers produce models of teeth and Tollgate Orthodontics now offers our own brand of aligners, designed and fabricated by us with the goal of providing a beautiful smile at a lower cost.
Instead of “all braces, all the time”, we are seeing aligner treatment catching up as a treatment of choice, and we have witnessed a significant influx of adult patients. Orthodontics is not just for teenagers anymore! We are finding that people want to invest in their smile at all ages.

Although our office has changed quite a bit in the past decade, our mission remains the same. We want to you to be happy you chose us. We want to provide exceptional care and beautiful smiles, all the while making sure you had a truly great experience. To us, that is success.
